Fort Bragg Whale Festival

Enjoy wine, chowder and microbrew tasting during the annual Fort Bragg Whale Festival. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit Fort Bragg’s local shops, restaurants, and inns, and to whale watch from the Pomo Bluffs Park. Harbor RV Park is situated on the Noyo Bluffs adjacent to the Pomo Bluffs Park, making it a prime location for catching a glimpse of passing whales.

Gualala Whale and Jazz Festival

Presented by Gualala Arts and taking place during the Smithsonian Institute’s Jazz Appreciation Month of April, this highly regarded festival captures inspired, original jazz art work, whale education, jazz films, poetry and jazz, an annual Chowder Challenge and tasting and live music in atmospheric and beautiful settings, conducive to a special coastal experience.

Annual Rhododendron Show

Our locale is also of utmost importance in preserving the rhododendron species. Although these plants grow in few places worldwide, they thrive in the favorable climate of the Mendocino Coast.  The area spanning Eureka to Fort Bragg is the largest production center of hybrid rhododendrons in California. Mendocino Film Festival

The Mendocino Film Festival was established in 2006. In such a quiet and beautiful environment, attending filmmakers can focus less on hype and more on craft and creative kinship. They can hike the headlands and share their work with passionate colleagues and attendees. Mendocino is known for its artistic and politically active population, so local audiences are informed, engaged and supportive.

World’s Largest Salmon Barbeque

The World Largest Salmon BBQ is held each year on the first Saturday in July. Salmon Restoration Association (SRA) is a non-profit organization located in Fort Bragg, California and their primary funding comes from the annual event; The Worlds Largest Salmon Barbeque. The Salmon Restoration Association exists for one reason: To take positive, measurable action to restore the natural wild salmon runs to rivers of Northern California.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Harbor RV Park is the perfect spot to have a front row seat for the spectacular Fourth of July Fireworks. Fourth of July Parade

Celebrate our nation’s independence in the beautiful seaside town of Mendocino. The annual Fourth of July Parade begins at noon along Main Street. The procession continues along Main Street and up Lansing Street past turn-of-the-century homes and shops. If you are in the area, but cannot make it, you can always listen to the excitement live on KOZT 95.3/95.9 FM.

Paul Bunyan Days

Named for the bigger-than-life logger and his giant blue ox, the festival celebrates the history of the community and pays tribute to the strength of the people who live here. Every Labor Day weekend, Paul Bunyan hosts the festival live and in person, when you see him say hello and ask him to pose for a picture.

Mendocino Area Parks Association Abalone Festival and Cook Off

This delicious and rare mollusk can be easily found and enjoyed at the Annual World Abalone Championship Cook Off in Fort Bragg. This festival takes place every October, and is hosted by the Mendocino Area Parks Association. The festival takes place on South Noyo Harbor Drive, just a short distance from Harbor RV Park.

Mendocino Beer, Wine, and Mushroom Festival

Mendocino County is home to more than 3,000 mushroom varieties, including the rare candy cap mushroom with its intense maple syrup flavor and sweet fragrance that grows only along the northern coast of California. With mushroom dinners, wine- and beer-pairing workshops, cooking classes, musical performances, exhibits, guided mushroom foraging there is something for everyone during this magical season of mushrooms. Events take place throughout the County, from the coast to the inland valleys.

Festival of Lights at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens

Starting November 28 and continuing through December 14, the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens hosts a spectacular Festival of Lights event. Spend a dazzling evening in the Gardens as tens of thousands of lights sparkle throughout the Perennial Garden. There is no place more magical during this season of light!
